dc.description.abstract |
In rabbit ovulation is induced by mating stimulus. The length of ovulation influences the embryo developmental stages
and their localization in various segments of genital tract during first 72-84 hours post mating. The study has compared
results obtained in 32 female from four groups: group 1 (control, 8 females, simple mated), group 2 (8 females treated
with 180 IU of HCG), group 3 (8 females, treated with 30mg/kg quercitine/day P.O. for 20 days) and group 4 (8 females
receiving CoQ10 10mg/kg/day P.O. for 20 days). The corpora lutea (CL) and total number of embryos (TNE) in uterine
horns was influenced by treatments (F=5.129 at p=0.006, respectively F=3.59 at p=0.026) and were higher in group 2 and
3. TNE was positively correlated with total number of CL (r=+0.484, p=0.003), with the number of embryos flushed form
uterine horns (r=+0.889, p=0.000) and oviducts ((r=+0.921, p=0.003), with weight of uterus (r=+0.621, p=0.000), and
negatively correlated with ovaries weights (r=-0.730, p=0.000), In conclusion, regarding the total number of CL and
number of obtained embryos, the most efficient treatment was the hormonal one (applied for group 2), data characterizing
the success of generation. |
